What's New at BCMguy.com

September 21, 2005 - I hope you have all had a great summer!   It has certainly been a busy one for us, since the release of the BCM50.   As expected, it is proving to be a wonderful little system, packed full of features.   I'll be replacing the Norstar in my home with a BCM50, as soon as I have a spare moment.   Be sure to check out the Bulletins page.   There are a lot of new patches listed.

May 31, 2005 - There has been a lot happening this month!   MICS/CICS 7.0 and BCM 3.7 are ready to go.   The highly anticipated, Linux based, BCM50 is available to be ordered NOW.   And, I was the first engineer in Nebraska to be Certified by Nortel on the new platform.   This is REALLY going to be a great system for the Small to Medium Business market.   Visit our Contact Page to get yours installed by the BCMguy!

April 10, 2005 - OK...The Feature Codes page is looking much better now.   There are still a few codes to add, but this should do for the average user.   The Bulletins page has been updated again as well.

This past week I attended a technology show (InfoTech) here in Omaha.   Everything went really well.   We had Nortel's "Roadshow in a semi" in our booth, and we gave away a brand new Harley Davidson motorcycle.   A lucky guy from the Omaha Public Power District won the bike.   There seemed to be a lot of interest in BCM at the show.   That's very encouraging; Its what I live for.

I have been receiving a lot of questions regarding the availability of patches from the website.   I am in the process of checking with Nortel to ensure that this is done within their guidelines.   It may come down to a password protected download site, or a patch CD sent by mail.   Hang in there.   I will do my best to make patches available soon.

March 12, 2005 - Well, things are shaping up little by little.   Today I got the new Contact Form up and running.   The Bulletins page has been updated as well.   I have received some positive feedback.   That is always nice, and I thank you for that.   Please let me know where improvements need to be made as well, or if something isn't working in a particular browser.   I have tested the site in a variety of browsers, and have identified a few quirks that are being worked out.   The next area that will have my attention is the Feature Codes page. There is a lot of work to do here!

March 1, 2005 - What's new?   This whole site is new!   I just got serious about construction of the site in February,  with a planned "go live" date of March, 2005.   Although the site was originally destined to be a simple hobby project (and a place to find the lesser used feature codes,   that I haven't commited to memory),   I would really enjoy maintaining a site that is actually useful to others.   With that in mind,   please don't hesitate to contact me with any suggestions that would make BCMguy.com more useful to you.
